Drones shot down in Moscow Oblast, according to Russian media

On July 4, Russian official media reported that at least five drones were launched against the Moscow Oblast, but that they were all intercepted.

Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) were travelling towards Moscow at various times early in the morning, according to the Russian news agency TASS. According to reports, air defences and electronic warfare tools destroyed every one of them.

Around 4 a.m., according to Telegram channel Baza, a drone crashed on the grounds of a military installation close to Kubinka, a hamlet east of the city. There were no casualties or damage as a result of the strike, according to TASS.

The two further drones were said to have crashed close to Valuevo, a community just a few kilometres from the major Vnukovo airport, according to RIA Novosti.

The news agency stated that a fire in a farm building was ignited by fragments of the crashed drones, but there were no reported deaths.
